Tyler Ungerland, St. Rose- Ungerland, who will suit up for the Dutchmen this summer, led the Golden Knights to a 4-2 record in the final week of the season. Ungerland hit .500 over six games during the week, driving in four runs and scoring six. Ungerland’s best game came Wednesday, when the shortstop went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two runs batted in. The runs batted in came on a third inning home run and a fifth inning single. The infielder finished the season with a slugging percentage of .417, good for third on the team in 23 starts.

James Locklear, Rider- Locklear hit .455 on the week for the Broncs, who went 4-1 to move to 23-18 on the season and 11-4 in conference. Locklear accounted for runs in all five games, ending the week with four runs scored and five runs batted in. The outfielder had three multi-hit games, including two games with three hits. Locklear’s stellar week boosted his batting average to .308. His ten hits on the week gave him 38 hits on the season, one of the top three totals for one of the top three teams in the MAAC.

Danny Hrbek, Radford- Hrbek, a member of the 2014 Dutchmen, helped the Highlanders to a 5-0 week where the team scored 73 runs over five games. Hrbek recorded a .526 average over 19 at-bats, scoring seven runs and driving in three. The infielder’s week ended with three hits and three runs as Radford scored 25 runs in a sixteen-run victory on Sunday. Hrbek has helped Radford to a 33-14 record with 49 hits and 22 runs batted in.

Kevin Landgrebe, Texas A&M Corpus Christi- The 2014 Albany pitcher worked three scoreless, hitless innings for the Islanders in a 2-1 loss to Texas-Pan American on Tuesday. Landgrebe pitched the final three innings of the game, keeping his team within one run. Of the ten hitters faced by the right-hander, four were set down on strikes, and the only hitters to reach base did so via base on balls.

Anthony Marks, Coastal Carolina- Marks continued his stellar 2015 season with six hits over four games this week, culminating with a victory over nationally ranked Florida State. Marks, who wore the Dutchmen colors in 2013, went 3-for-5 in a Sunday victory over Seminoles, scoring a run in the 4-2 win. Marks hit .375 on the week, adding to his 71 hits. Marks leads the Chanticleers, who are likely to play in the NCAA Tournament, in hits, runs, average, and on-base percentage.

Sean Spicer, Baylor- Spicer, who pitched for the Dutchmen in 2013, made two appearances for the Bears last week, and picked up his sixth save of the season in a conference victory over Kansas. His week began with a scoreless eighth inning against Texas-San Antonio on Tuesday. He then earned the save Saturday at Kansas, recording the final four outs of the 6-3 victory. Spicer has struck out 28 hitters in 20 relief appearances this season, walking just eight hitters.

Michael Jurgella, St. Cloud State- A spectacular regular season came to an end in an equally spectacular fashion for Jurgella, who played for the Dutchmen in 2012. Jurgella bashed five home runs over six games as his Huskies extended their winning streak to 16 games and their total record to 47-3. The Huskies scored 68 runs over six games, and Jurgella drove in 12. The week saw Jurgella hit two home runs in a game twice, in victories over Minnesota State and Northern State. Jurgella finished the regular season with a .438 batting average, 13 home runs, 62 runs batted in, and 24 walks, all team-bests for St. Cloud State, who sit No. 2 in the nation in Division II.

Brandon Trinkwon, Los Angeles Dodgers organization- The 2011 Dutchmen, who now plays for the Class A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, has been a stalwart near the top of the order, recording a .324 average through 19 games played. The third baseman drove in five runs on the week, and recorded three multi-hit games. The weekend proved especially fruitful for the UC-Santa Barbara product, as he followed a 2-for-3 with three RBI game on Saturday with a 3-for-4 outing on Sunday. Trinkwon’s 15 RBIs and 26 hits are both second on the division-leading Quakes.
