Tyler Orris (Millersville).

It was the hitters from Dutchmen seasons past that took center stage in the first full week of March, with multiple standout efforts from Dutchmen dating back to the 2012 roster, and as current as last season's club.

Tyler Orris, Millersville- A 2013 Dutchmen infielder has been great for Millersville in the leadoff spot, going 10-for-17 this past week with five runs scored. Orris reached base in all five games, and hit safely in four of the five games. The shortstop has hit .394 with a .469 on base percentage through 16 games. Orris and the Marauders have gotten off to a hot start, posting a 15-1 record to start the 2016 campaign.

Ernie Clement, Virginia- Clement continued his fantastic start to the 2016 season with ten hits and five runs scored in five Cavalier games. He reached safely in all five games, led by a 4-for-5 performance in a 20-7 victory over Wagner on Wednesday. Through 16 games, Clement had recorded a .455 batting average with 18 runs scored and 12 RBIs for the Cavaliers, who are ranked No. 14 in the nation by Perfect Game.

Morgan Phillips, College of Charleston- A member of the 2012 Albany roster, Phillps has led Charleston to eight consecutive victories, including four this past week. In four games, Phillips drove in seven runs and recorded seven hits in 16 at-bats. In the series finale, the centerfielder hit a three-run homer as part of a four RBI game and a 17-13 win. He drove in a run in each of the four games last week, and added three runs scored.

Brian Ruhm, Cal Baptist- In two starts against Holy Names, Ruhm terrorized Hawks pitching with six hits in eight at-bats. In the series opener, the outfielder went 4-for-5 with three runs batted in and two runs scored. The 2013 Dutchmen player drove in runs on a single and a double. He also went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI in an 19-2 victory over Holy Names.

Nick Cioffi, Saint Rose- Albany's 2015 Pitcher of the Year tossed a gem for Saint Rose on Friday, leading the Golden Knights to their first win of the 2016 season. Cioffi worked eight shutout innings against Post University, scattering seven hits while striking out seven. He walked just one in the 2-0 win. In his first three starts, Cioffi has a 0.86 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 21 innings on the mound.

Nick Jewett, Trinity University- Albany's 2014 first baseman has helped Trinity to a 16-4 start with a .403 batting average and 11 runs batted in. In five games last week, Jewett went 7-for-17 with four runs scored and three RBIs, recording a 4-1 record. Jewett had two multi-hit games on Friday and Saturday, leading the Tigers to victories with five hits. He recorded two doubles in his seven hits.

Zach Remillard, Coastal Carolina- The three time PGCBL All-Star homered twice in six games, recording eight hits with four runs scored and four RBIs. In three weekend victories, Remillard went 5-for-14 for Chanticleers, driving in all four of his runs. The two home runs for Remillard gave him seven on the season, one of the better totals in Division I baseball. He is hitting .362 with 17 RBIs through 17 games, in which he has started all.

Chris Amorosi, Siena-The two-year Dutchmen starting pitcher earned his first victory on Sunday, throwing 3.2 shutout innings in a 19-7 victory over George Mason. The lefty allowed just four hits (including one to 2015 teammate Tyler Nelin), striking out three hitters. In 15.2 innings for Siena, Amorosi has struck out a team-high 15 hitters.

Mike Fitzsimmons, Ole Miss- The 2015 Dutchmen Player of the Year hit the first home run of his collegiate career on Tuesday. Fitzsimmons went 2-for-2 with three RBIs in the 10-2 win over Southeast Missouri. He also drove in a run and scored a run during the team's weekend series sweep over Grambling State, including a start at designated hitter.

Dom DiCaprio, Rice- DiCaprio, who caught for the 2015 Dutchmen, helped Rice to a series victory over East Carolina this weekend. Starting all three games at catcher, DiCaprio recorded five hits in eight at-bats. The catcher drove in a run on Saturday during Rice's 7-2 win over the Pirates, opening the scoring with an RBI double in the first.

Chris Suseck, Rutgers- A 2-2 week for the Scarlet Knights was aided by Suseck, who went 6-for-13 with three runs batted in and two runs scored. The 2013 Dutchmen first baseman went 2-for-4 in a victory over Iona and drove in two runs in a 9-8 loss to Florida Atlantic on Friday night. Playing in every game this season, Suseck is hitting .377 with a team-high 20 hits and 27 total bases.

Liam Conboy, Susquehanna- Pitching twice during Susquehanna's trip to Puerto Rico, Conboy earned a win and a save. On Tuesday, the 2015 righty pitched two scoreless innings- the ninth and the tenth- to earn his first win. Conboy walked two, but did not allow a hit in Susquehanna's 2-1 win. He also pitched the ninth on Sunday, allowing a run but holding on for the save in a 6-4 victory over Arcadia.

Adam Lee, Lipscomb- Despite four losses on the week, Lee drove in six runs for the Bisons. On Friday night in Athens, Georgia, Lee hit a grand slam and added an RBI single in a 9-8 defeat. He also reached five times, walking four times, in a 14-11 loss to Tennessee Tech on Tuesday. Through 15 games, the 2014 Albany utility man is hitting .304 with a team-high 18 RBIs and a .462 on base percentage.
