Are you a mature High School Student, College Undergraduate,
Graduate Student or just someone looking for something interesting
to do in your spare time?
The Albany Dutchmen are looking for energetic, self-motivated individuals
who have an interest in Sport Marketing, Sport Management, Communications,
Journalism, Advertising/Marketing or Photography.
You can become part of the Dutchmen family by participating in our Internship Program.
We have a variety of positions available, some that carry over through the off-season and others that are limited
only to the summer. Some of the positions/opportunities are:
FRONT OFFICE
Interns will learn about a variety of business tasks and will be rotated through the areas of
Group Ticket Sales, Promotions, Merchandising, Special Events, Game Day Operations, and Food & Beverage.
BROADCASTING/MEDIA RELATIONS
Two radio personalities will broadcast our home games, which will be broadcast over PointStreak, via our website. We are also looking for a PA announcer who will handle all stadium announcements and coordinate music/sound effects.
Various media relations individuals will be in charge of handling game notes, updating the website and social media accounts, acting as official statisticians, writing post-game recaps (and other news articles), coordinating press releases, and communicating with area media outlets.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
These interns will help increase the team's presence throughout Albany and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities would include such things as developing and maintaining professional relationships within the community,
assisting in the coordination of community events, and scheduling mascot and player appearances.
ON-FIELD PERSONALITY
This intern will help create and execute on-field promotions that take place between innings at every home game. Other duties will include writing game scripts, interacting with fans, and energizing and communicating with the crowd via on-field microphone.
PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY
Be an "official photographer" for the Dutchmen and coordinate the team's photography/videography needs for the website, local newspapers and television stations, on-field activities, the yearbook, and other public relations and/or media opportunities. (You must have your own equipment.)
Our goal is to provide local fans (as well as visitors to our area) with quality, affordable, family friendly entertainment.
