Three members of the Albany Dutchmen have been named to 2019 ABCA/Rawlings High School All American and All-Region teams.
Luke Gold, Parker Noland and Will Duff are all members of the 2019 ABCA/Rawlings High School All American 3rd team. Only ten infielders in America were recognized with an All-American honor.
Gold, Noland and Duff also were named to their All-Region teams.
High School Region One’s All-Region Team which covers the northeast selected Luke Gold as one of three infielders. Gold has recently joined Albany after leading Ballston Spa to the 2019 NYSPHSAA Class A Baseball State Championship. Gold is committed to play at Boston College next season and has one hit in one plate appearance with the Dutchmen.
High School Region Four’s All-Region Team selected Parker Noland as one of three infielders. The third baseman joined Albany on June 9th after winning the TSSAA Championship Game vs. Bradley Central 7-3. Noland is heading to Vanderbilt in the fall and is 4-16 in five games with one home run and six RBI.
High School Region Five’s All-Region Team chose Will Duff as one of three infielders. Duff has been with the Dutchmen since the beginning of the season. Duff finished his four years at Springfield Catholic with a loss in the first round of the 2019 MSHSAA Missouri Boys Class 4 Baseball State Championship to Monett High School 5-4. Duff is committed to Vanderbilt as well and has played in 10 games for Albany and is batting .229 with three RBI and two stolen bases.
Albany's next game is tomorrow June 21st versus the Adirondack Trail Blazers at Robert Smith Sports Complex. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. The next home game is a doubleheader on Saturday June 22nd against the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs.
