(GLENS FALLS, NY)-- Albany Dutchmen fell in a pitchers duel by a final of 2-1 at Glens Falls.
JT Larson (North Florida) worked five innings of one run ball with five strikeouts for Albany, while Daniel Cohen (Yale) threw five shutout with eight punchouts, both receiving no decision.
The Glens Falls bullpen was the difference maker as Riley Orr (Castleton) and Matt Chase (Ithaca) combined for four shutout innings, allowing just two hits and ringing up five. Orr received the win, while Chase took the save.
Glens Falls took a 1-0 lead after one inning courtesy of a Danny Moshier (Marist) RBI, and the Dragons would keep that lead through four innings.
Albany got on the scoreboard in the top of the 5th as Max Gebauer (Franklin Pierce) singled in Ty Gallagher (Herkimer).
The third and final scoring play served to be the difference maker as Anthony Ruzzo (Union) picked up the eventual game winning sacrifice fly.
Albany returns to action on Tuesday at 7:00 at Saugerties.
