(ALBANY, NY)-- Albany Dutchmen dropped a Saturday night tilt to Amsterdam Mohawks with a final of 6-3.
Amsterdam put up one run in the 1st and carried that 1-0 lead through five innings behind five shutout frames from Collin Brougham (South Alabama).
Mohawks extended the lead to 3-0 in the 6th courtesy of two unearned runs, and picked up a sacrifice fly in the 7th to make it 4-0.
Albany cut into the lead in the 7th as a Max Gebauer (Franklin Pierce) bases loaded walk put the Dutchmen on the board, and a David Silva Jr. (Ohio Dominican) sacrifice fly cut the deficit to two.
In the 8th, Nick Schwartz (SNHU) picked up an RBI single to bring Albany within one run as a part of a three-hit night for the Massapequa native.
Amsterdam was able to put the game out of reach in the 9th on a two-run home run off the bat of Connor Moore (Florida State).
Albany has the day off tomorrow before heading to Amsterdam for a 6:35 first pitch on Monday.
