Dutchmen sit out for the second consecutive day due to a rained out game against the Oneonta Outlaws
ALBANY N.Y. - For the second consecutive day, the Albany Dutchmen have been rained out as today’s game has been cancelled due to impending severe weather.
Today’s game, which was originally scheduled for 5:05 p.m. against the Oneonta Outlaws, will be made up as part of a doubleheader on July 6th at Damaschke Field, with game one beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Outlaws were not scheduled to make any return visits to Siena Field after today, which is why the two teams will play two games of seven innings each at Oneonta.
The Werner Ladder giveaway, which was originally scheduled for today’s game, will now be taking place tomorrow. Bennie the mascot’s birthday party will be rescheduled for July 9th.
The Dutchmen will return to action tomorrow with bonus baseball at Siena Field beginning at 3:30 p.m., as Albany and the Amsterdam Mohawks will resume the game from June 7th that was suspended in a 4-4 tie in the 11th inning due to darkness. The teams will play the regularly scheduled contest at 5:05 p.m. The game will feature a Cabot Cheese Giveaway to the first 500 fans, the annual Helmbold’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, Albany County Stop DWI Night, the Dave & Buster’s Street Team, along with a Cabot Cheese gift box giveaway.
