Today's doubleheader has been rained out
BOONVILLE, N.Y. Todays doubleheader between the Adirondack Trail Blazers and the Albany Dutchmen has been rained out.
The Dutchmen are not scheduled to make another return trip to Adirondack this season, meaning that one of the doubleheader games will not be rescheduled, and the other will be made up as part of a doubleheader on July 29th at Siena Field. Game one will begin at 3 p.m. with game two starting approximately 30 minutes later. Both games will be seven inning contests.
Albany hits the road tomorrow to take on the Glens Falls Dragons before returning home on Wednesday for bonus baseball against the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. Game one at 3:30 p.m. will be the resumption of the June 15th game that was tied 3-3 in the tenth inning before being suspended due to darkness. The regularly scheduled contest, which will be nine innings, is set for 5:05 p.m. The DiamondDawgs and Dutchmen entered today separated by half a game in the standings, as Albany currently holds second place in the East Division. The contest could have implications on which team hosts round one of the playoffs as the two seed, and which team has to go on the road as the three seed for the single elimination game. Wednesdays bonus baseball will also feature Spotlight Player of the Week Awards Night.
July 29ths doubleheader will be the final home regular season date of the season for the Dutchmen. The game will feature multiple promotions, including fan and host family appreciation night, Alexs lemonade stand for childhood cancer sponsored by Northwestern Mutual, Wet Willys Car Wash certificate giveaway to the first 250 fans over 18 years of age, All Stars Academy batting cage token giveaway, baseball bingo, CSEA member night, the Dave and Busters Street Team, and a fan appreciation raffle.
