Howie Brey (Rutgers)- Recently signed left-hander Howie Brey tossed a compete game against USF en route to his fifth victory of the season. In the longest outing of his career, Brey only allowed one run on four hits and struck out five in 9.0 innings of work. He retired eleven consecutive hitters during one stretch in the middle of the game. The Scarlet Knights went on to sweep the three-game series from USF to push their winning streak to eight games.
Josh & Adam Lee (Lipscomb)- The recently signed Lee brothers came up big for Lipscomb in a 5-2 win at North Florida. Josh and Adam recorded a hit each and both players drew two base on balls. They combined to score four of the team's five runs in the contest. Josh is third on the team with a .291 batting average, while Adam's nine stolen bases place him second on the team in that category.
Kevin Landgrebe (Texas A&M Corpus Christi)- Recently signed right-hander Kevin Landgrebe served as the setup man for the Islanders as they topped Lamar 5-2 over the weekend. He came in to pitch the eighth inning after his teammate Matt Danton threw 7.0 strong innings. Landgrebe struck out three batters and did not allow a run in 1.2 innings. Teammate Jacob Dorris got the final out of the game to earn the save. Landgrebe is second on the team with six wins this season in 27 appearances, including two starts.
Thomas Belcher (Indiana)- 2013 Dutchmen pitcher Thomas Belcher worked 3.0 scoreless innings out of the bullpen as the 16th ranked Hoosiers defeated Penn State 10-0. In the no-decision, Belcher scattered two hits while striking out four Nittany Lions. Belcher has thrown a total of 24.2 innings this season, and he is 1-0 with an outstanding 1.46 ERA.
