NCAA Division I Tournament Preview

Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt is the number two overall seed in this season’s NCAA tournament and hosts the Nashville Regional. The Commodores went 49-10 this season and won the SEC Tournament. Vanderbilt plays Ohio State in its first game at home on Friday, May 31st at 7:00 p.m. EST.
 
Louisville
J.D. Mundt (’16-’17 Dutch), Adam Elliot (’17 Dutch), Lucas Dunn (’18 Dutch), Cameron Masterman (’18 Dutch), Ben Metzinger (’19 Dutch), Chris Seng (’19 Dutch)
Louisville is the number seven overall seed in this season’s NCAA tournament and hosts the Louisville Regional. The Cardinals were the second seed in the ACC with a 43-15 overall record and a 21-9 conference record. Louisville plays the University of Illinois at Chicago in its first game at home on Friday, May 31st, at 6:00 p.m. EST.
 
Ole Miss
Michael Fitzsimmons (’15 Dutch), Max Cioffi (’18 Dutch), Justin Bench (’19 Dutch), Josh Hall (’19 Dutch), Logan Savell (’19 Dutch), Jacob Steinberg (’19 Dutch)
Ole Miss is the number 12 overall seed in this season’s NCCA tournament and hosts the Oxford Regional. The Rebels were the seventh seed in the SEC with a 37-25 overall record and a 16-14 conference record. Ole Miss plays Jacksonville State in its first game at home on Friday, May 31st, at 8:00 p.m. EST.
 
Indiana State
Evan Giles (’16 Dutch)
Indiana State is the second seed in the Nashville Regional hosted by Vanderbilt. The Sycamores won the MVC Tournament after finishing the season with a 41-16 record. Indiana State plays McNeese in its first game at Hawkins Field on Friday, May 31st, at 1:00 p.m. EST.
 
Coastal Carolina
Kyle Skeels (’16 Dutch)
Coastal Carolina is the third seed in the Atlanta Regional hosted by Georgia Tech. The Chanticleers won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament after finishing the season with a 35-24-1 record. Coastal Carolina plays Auburn in its first game at Russ Chandler Stadium on Friday, May 31st, at 12:00 p.m. EST.
 
Stony Brook
Greg Marino (’17-’18 Dutch), Nick Grande (’18 Dutch), Greg Allard (’19 Dutch)
Stony Brook is the fourth seed in the Baton Rouge Regional hosted by LSU. The Seawolves won the America East Conference Tournament after finishing the season with a 31-21 record. Stony Brook plays LSU in its first game at Alex Box Stadium on Friday, May 31st, at 7:00 p.m. EST.
