LOSS TO AMS
(ALBANY, NY)-- Albany Dutchmen fell to Amsterdam Mohawks 11-5 at Keenholts Park on Monday night in the second meeting of the season between the East’s top two teams.
It was a tough night defensively for both teams, as the game saw a combined nine errors.
Amsterdam took a quick lead in the first, as the Mohawks leadoff hitter Gage Miller (Bishop State CC) went yard to take a 1-0 lead en route to a 3-6 night with three RBIs.
Albany’s pitching staff was able to get out of some jams as Amsterdam left 11 runners on base.
The Dutchmen offense was highlighted by an Anthony Raimo Jr. (Rhode Island) RBI double in the bottom of the 4th, and an Alex Brill (Ohio Dominican) two run home run in the 9th inning.
Albany gets back-to-back off days, and will head to Amsterdam for a 6:35 first pitch on Thursday.
