(ALBANY, NY)-- Albany Dutchmen took a 3-1 victory over Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs in a two hour game that featured seven no hit innings from the Dutchmen pitching staff.
Frankie Sanchez (SNHU) threw five no-hit innings with eight strikeouts, before handing the ball to the Dutchmen bullpen of Scott Griesemer (North Florida) and Jack Wren (Marist) who combined for four shutout with three strikeouts.
Albany’s three runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning would serve to be all the runs needed for a victory. Alex Brill (Ohio Dominican) tripled, Caden Shaprio (Princeton) walked, and Tyler Young (Lehigh) drove them both in with a two out two-RBI double. Nick Schwartz (SNHU) added an insurance run as his single drove in Young.
Albany moves to 15-9, and will head on the road for a 7:00 first pitch at Glens Falls.
