(ALBANY, NY)-- Albany Dutchmen had three players named to the 2022 PGCBL Midseason All-Star Team; Arlo Marynczak (Siena), David Silva Jr. (Ohio Dominican) and Max Gebauer (Franklin Pierce).
One of ten pitchers named to the East All-Stars, Arlo Marynczak leads the Dutchmen and ranks fourth in the PGCBL with his 1.82 ERA. The Bethlehem graduate has stepped into the ace role on the Dutchmen staff as his 24.2 innings leads the squad, after he threw 20 on the 2021 summer with a 2.25 ERA. The tall righty also has 20 strikeouts on the season, including nine in his complete game three-hit shutout on June 11th.
David Silva Jr. was one of eight infielders named to the East All-Star squad, as the Ohio native is carrying a .318/.426/.375 slash line with 11 RBIs and a league leading 27 stolen bases. The second baseman got off to a hot start this summer, batting 9-18 with eight stolen bases across the first five games of June. Silva has racked up eight multi-hit games in 29 games played, including a three-hit, four-RBI day on June 17th and a four-hit, two double mashing on July 12th.
Max Gebauer got the All-Star nod as one of two catchers receiving the nomination. The Guilderland product holds a .303/.303/.415 slash line to go with seven RBIs this summer. Gebauer made an immediate impact, as he picked up an RBI in a two-hit night in his debut on June 11th. The catcher has picked up a hit, an RBI, or both in 10 of his 14 games this summer.
