Albany continues their relationship with Sun Belt power Georgia Southern by adding infielder Cal Baker. The Clyo, Georgia native was a three time All-Region selection at shortstop during his high school career and participated in the Senior All-Star game. He also lettered four times in football and was twice named All-Region. The 5’10” middle infielder had worked his way into the mix for the Sun Belt Champs and regional participants, making 28 plate appearances before a broken bone ended his season. After surgery and weeks of recovery, Baker looks set to come back to the Dutchmen by mid-June and make his presence felt.
